My Day at the Market ..

Thank heaven for talented friends !!  

I must first start off with a BIG THANKS to my dear friend Angela Kent 

who sacrificed sleep on a Saturday morning to come help me set up my display at the 

Ivory Vintage Market

I would also like to thank the three girls who hosted the market 

Maureen, Michelle and Julie

I know what it takes to organize an event like this

it was well executed and went off without a hitch !!

So, thank you Girls !!

My Day at the Market ..

.. I have been busy for months

collecting, painting and sewing

vintage finds ..

.. one of a kind chenille pillows ..

a pattern I designed over ten years ago ..

found melmac dishes, linen and custom basket liner ..

ready for some summertime fun !!

.. I love this piece of embroidered linen I found and repurposed into a pillow .. 

.. another found linen piece with a whimiscal phrase -
a charming touch for the cottage, nursery, or guest bedroom  ..

.. GIANT chalk and chalkboard brushes

designed with vintage inspired labels ..

.. and even a giant sized linen shaped hare to run across your bed ..

Vancouver Has a New Store Window To Visit

Anthropologie Finally Makes It To Vancouver !

.. as you probably have already guessed I am

a big fan of Anthropolgie and loyal customer

here is my review of the new Vancouver store ..

the store was soooo busy

pictures were almost impossible to take

  i think that means a second trip, hmmm ..

..  the store window ..

imaginative and creative as always

but a bit on the small size 

.. view from the 2nd floor ..

this was my favorite part of the store

i love clocks

and display them throughout my house

but i think i'd have to move to 

fit this one in

oh, darn!

.. oversized wood spools ..

always a favorite of mine

the everchanging displays 

seen throughout the store

they are usually found and one of a kind objects

.. beautiful handmade stationary ..

i always like to check out 

the latest and greatest stationary offerings at Anthropologie

they make beautiful gifts for every occassion

.. colorful pottery ..

who doesn't love handmade, painted pottery

there is always an abundance to be found here in so many colors

.. unique housewares ..

another reason to visit an Anthropologie store soon

for an incredible selection of glassware, linens & pretty aprons

.. macrame ? ..

did i mention that the 70's is really big right now

who'd ever thought that macrame would ever be seen again

- on the fence about that one ? -

.. summer fashion ..

and how could i forget 

Anthropologie also sells clothing and accessories 

offering a large collection of designers 

there is always an abundance of 

pretty dresses, skirts, tops

and of course

an awesome selection of stretchy belts to be found

 as she strutted down the aisle
 in her beautiful, couture, 

ivory, paper gown

casacading, paper roses 

skillfully rolled
 and individually attached
 to the bodice

the gown flowed
 and rustled
 with every step

She was a vision of loveliness 

as she posed in the window

Spring Is Here at Anthropologie

Love, Love, Love ...

 .. the new displays at Anthropologie are even more unique and one of a kind .. 

.. the linen at Anthropologie is always inspirational ..

.. just pick a color and go crazy decorating ..

.. wouldn't this make an awesome display and storage unit ..

.. the glass and dinnerware would make anyone want to cook up a storm ..

.. I'll take one of each .. Please !!

.. did I mention that I liked the displays at Anthropologie ..

.. all the store displays are unique and individual to each store ..

.. I think its time to Spring Clean .. 

.. 'cause there's just too many nice things at Anthropologie right now ..

.. I'm quite fond of the green bowls and glasses ..

.. I must not also forget to mention the shower curtains that hang so beautifully 

in the store but would look as equally beautiful at home .. sigh

Back From a Winter Holiday

.. A Very Happy New Year To All !!

It's been a while since my last post but I am finally back. 

Hope you all had a wonderful Holiday with friends and family.

..  I am very fortunate to have spent the holidays in the sun .. 


Here is a recap of the last few weeks and
how I spent my holidays ..

.. Sparkie found his way up our tree to keep an eye on things ..

.. gifts were wrapped and trimmed with pretty string ..

.. treats for Santa and reindeer were left out ..

and apparently enjoyed 

.. a shopping trip with the girls ..

.. there was a trip to the Lego Store after Christmas ..

- every boy's dream -

.. a trip to the Living Desert ..

.. giraffes are amazingly beautiful and also my favorite ..

.. a stroll through a cactus garden ..

.. espalliered meyer lemons ready to be squeezed 

so sweet and juicy - do I smell lemon tarts ? 

.. pink grapefruit ready to be picked and eaten for breakie ..

Yum!

.. my nephew's 1st Birthday ..

Happy Birthday Hayden !!

.. I even managed to find some time to do a little treasure hunting ..

- some future projects for the next sale ?

And my New Years Resolutuion ..
